Privacy Policy
Plain-language summary: Finsoft PDF Export captures a screenshot of the page you are viewing and saves it as a PDF directly to your device. No data ever leaves your browser. The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any information about you or your browsing activity.
What the extension does
Finsoft PDF Export exports any browser tab to an A4 PDF file. When activated — either via the toolbar button or an in-app button on Finsoft pages — the extension scrolls through the current tab, takes a series of screenshots using the browser's built-in capture API, assembles them into a PDF using the open-source jsPDF library, and triggers a download to your device.
All of this happens entirely within your browser. The extension contains no network calls, no analytics, and no external dependencies beyond the libraries bundled in the extension package itself.
Data we do not collect
The extension does not collect, transmit, log, or store any of the following:
- Personal or identifying information
- Browsing history or visited URLs
- Page content, text, or form data
- Authentication credentials or cookies
- Financial or payment information
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- User activity or interaction data
- Screenshots or PDF files
Screenshots taken during PDF assembly exist only in browser memory for the duration of the export and are discarded immediately after the PDF is saved to your device.
Permissions
The extension requests the following browser permissions. Each is required for the core export function and for nothing else.

| tabs (captureVisibleTab) | Takes a screenshot of the visible browser viewport. This is the browser API used to generate each section of the PDF. Images are processed in memory and never written to disk or sent to a server. |
Data sharing
We do not share any data with third parties because no data is collected in the first place. The extension does not communicate with Finsoft servers, analytics services, advertising networks, or any other external endpoint.
Third-party libraries
The extension bundles jsPDF (MIT licence) for PDF generation. jsPDF runs entirely within your browser. No data is sent to the jsPDF project or any related party.
Children's privacy
This extension is a professional productivity tool. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will be changed. We will not introduce data collection without updating this policy first.
